The magical run of the Colorado Rockies ends in 4 straight losses, and the Boston Red Sox have won their 2nd title in 4 years, after an 86 year hiatus.

Mike Lowell was named the MVP. I am not sure I agree with this, but hey, I guess he is as good a pick as anyone on the team. If I had to pick an MVP for the postseason, I think I would have to give it to Josh Beckett; 4-0, with a 1.20 ERA, 26 strikeouts or something like that, and only 2 BB, I believe. Unreal.

What did you think of the Series?

The eight day lay-off for Colorado almost definatly killed their hot streak. Red Sox were just too good.

I don't think lowell deserved the mvp. It should have been the Sox pitching, most notably Beckett I totally agree.

World Series MVP consideration includes a player's performance in the World Series only, not the postseason as a whole (each series has it's own MVP).

Beckett pitched great, but in the end does his one start hold any value at all when his team scored 13 runs? He could've given up 12 and still won.

Wow, what a series. Lowell did great that last game. With the homer, and those great slides. I also thought Jacoby Ellsbury did great in the series. Really helped them win.

I agree, I think that Beckett was an MVP for the overall postseason. Not for the World Series. If he would have had 2 wins in the WS, then maybe. I am just not sure Lowell was the Series MVP. But hey, I don't do the voting, so oh well.

Lowell deserved it after that last game of the series. He had two great slides, and a homer. I thought they would of chose Jacoby Ellsbury. But I guess not.
