Bill Parcells has chosen to sign on with the Miami Dolphins as Head of Football Operations.

One of the main stickers on this deal was the fact that owner Wayne Huizenga has decided not to sell the team. The two are golfing buddies, and have spent considerable time talking with each other.

Good move for the Dolphins, and Patrick. Too bad for the Falcons, though, who can't seem to catch a break this year.

"Bill Parcels Hugs one boss while handing his buisness card off to another." Its ridiculous, how can a team develop a relationship with a coach if they will most likely leave in a few seasons.

Well, he's not going to be the coach. I think everyone recognizes that he may only be there for a few years or, at least, is only counting on that. I'm excited about the move, though.

I don't know, I still believe we should send the "Big Tuna" back to the sea.

Parcells has always been good at finding talent, and now that he has the chance to apply the personnel that he wants to an entire franchise, and have his say in the draft, it should be interesting to see what he can do in a few years time.

wicked funny, thought you all would enjoy. Click www.nesportstalk.com/blog.html. I think it will be interesting all in all to see parcels working for the phins. They played decently well against the pats in the second half, however im not sure if the pats just let off for some reason...Perhaps to be sure to have something to work for against the Giants this weekend.

I don't think that this situation is that big of a deal. Everyone makes a bid todo about someone like Saban or Petrino jumping ship to get a better deal, or news breaking about Parcells agreeing to one job in principle, but then signing on for a better one (in his opinion). Then you take another fact of this season, which is, regardless of contract stipulations (and I am sure that Cam Cameron signed on to coach for more than one year) is that Cameron will most likely lose his job at the end of this season.

What it says is that it is ok for you to leave, but you have to leave my (owners) way. Petrino stuck it to the Falcons, no doubt there. In the end, if you believe the talk, the Dolphins will probably be without Cameron at the end of the season, too. Is this right? You could say no to both situations. In the end, contracts can be broken. It just makes a bigger stink when they are.

I don't really believe what Parcells did here was wrong. It's the same a free agent testing the waters with multiple teams, he just took the deal he felt best about. Beyond that, I'm really interested to see how this turns out. I'd like to see the dolphins do better, but I think it will take a few years to get results.
