| I picked David Stern, mainly because Goodell has only a year of experience, so it's kind of hard to evaluate him at this point. Stern on the other hand has done a great job of promoting the sport from where it was when he took over. NBA Finals games weren't even televised live when he first came in. |

| Its pretty much a tie between Goodell and Stern. Because I apploud Goodell for the Personal Conduct Policy, and how he brings the hammer down on those who need it. Stern, has made some questionable rules such as the Draft eligability rules but he has done so much for the NBA and I apploud him for that. But I give a very slight edge to Goodell. |

i voted for neither coz i dont know much about Goodell.....and since he doesnt have much experience i cant got for esspecially since the whole spygate thing popped up
i will say i think stern did a really good job helping the sport grow to what it is today, but i have to say that im disapointed with alot of things that happen in recent years
like you said the whole 1 year of college, as were seeing that rule is backfiring on him coz now high school phenoms are thinking about jumping into the euro-leagues
the whole referee thing with donoghy, he strongly believes that every referee is not like him, but as a huge fan of the nba and after what i saw it makes me wonder if there aint another one doing somewhat the same thing
and finally changing the rules as he sees fit, a few years ago remember that thing with the spurs and suns when robert horry hip checked steve nash and stoudemire and diaw left the bench, well later stern said it couldnt be helped and he HAD to suspend them because of the fact that their sorry butts left the bench........now i remember that same thing happening this last seasons playoffs with another team, i believe it was the celtics and hawks now when that fight broke out i think a player or two got off the bench and onto the court but the next day stern just fined them a couple of thousand of dollars
i remember when PTI interveiwed him about that and was asking questions like if he did that for that game.........why did he not do that for stoudemire and diaw during the spurs/suns fight, he just sat there confused at what to say until things came out of his mouth that i think he just made up _________________ NHL = Nashville Predators

I like what Goodell has done so far in the NFL. I am not so sure he should have gotten as involved as he did with the whole Favre rigamaroo, but he has really been active in with NFL policy and whatnot. _________________ www.chiefswarpath.com |
