Not that this is any surprise. In my opinion, it will never happen. There's just too much money at stake to lose by not having the bowl system. Although, there is one piece I do object to:

I don't buy this as an excuse at all. Divisions I and II both play in a playoff schedule, and have no qualms with how it affects any "academic calendar." That is an empty arguement there, no matter how they try to spin it. Just come out and say that it is about the money, and we can all get on with things. _________________ www.chiefswarpath.com |

| Yeah, it's a pretty lame argument. The bowl season lasts about a month anyway. I don't imagine a playoff tournament would go any longer than that. |

No, it really wouldn't. You could start a playoff two weeks after the Conference Championship games, and then have a game every weekend. With only 8 teams, it wouldn't take long at all. _________________ www.chiefswarpath.com |

But how do you keep the bowls, and still do a playoff? If a big bowl offers a team to play, but they made the playoffs, would they take the money for the bowl, or go playoff? _________________ www.chiefswarpath.com |
