Hey, you guys here about Jason Giambi today?
He went 0-for-5 and I think that puts him at like 2-for-16 to start the season or something like that and the crowd at Yankee Stadium starts chanting, "We want Tino! We want Tino! We want Tino!". Hehe.
Tough crowd. Welcome to New York, Jason. |

| I'm sure he'll get out of his slump. And when he does, other teams need to watch out. |

Yeah props to Giambi after the game yesterday for taking it like a man. I mean he didn't go off on the press about that (the crowd chanting for "Tino") when somebody else in his situation might have.

Yeah I heard he almost got out of his slump today. He had a loud, long foul ball down the right field line that just missed being a homer and he ended up going 0-for-1 with 2 walks as a D.H., I believe. |

| I make absolutely nothing of this slump because everyone knows he will pick up and we have been winning even with his slump. |

Well I wasn't the one making a lot of the "slump". I think he'll eventually come out of it and then we'll see the Jason Giambi who was the M.V.P. two years ago and was an M.V.P. candidate last year.
It was the Yankee fans at Yankee Stadium booing him and chanting for Tino who were making a big deal of it. |

Nice going, Craig Biggio. He hit for the cycle today.
And some Bay Area flavor as Barry Bonds was named National League Player of the Week (I guess who else did we expect).
And David Justice was named American League Player of the Week. He had something like an above .400 average to start the season with his new team. Now only if he can stay healthy, he can sure help the A's fill that big offensive hole that is the departure of Jason Giambi. |
