Bonds hits number 31 tonight! This is unreal.

And after hitting number 30 last night, he became the fastest guy to hit 30 home runs in a season in Major League history.

Wow. He has twice as many as Piazza

I'd be happy if a Met got 35 and Bonds already has 30. Must be great to have a hitter like that on your team.

So how about Bonds today with another home run? That's number 32.

At least the Giants lost though. They own the Padres this year for some reason. It's like the Giants can't beat anybody on a consistent basis but San Diego this season. Because before San Diego came to Pac Bell Park for this week's 4-game series, the Giants were struggling big time.

Isn't Bonds a free agent at the end of this season? Where do you think he'll go, or will he stay in SF? With the Mets hitting the way they are these days, maybe he'll end up there?

I'm not sure... I don't see him staying in SF after all the stuff that happened this offseason, but he could.

I have also heard some rumors that they might trade him, but that would only create bad PR for them... I mean he's on pace to break the HR record.

It would be cool if he became a Met. But I doubt it.

I think the more and more home runs Bonds hits this year, the harder it will be for the Giants to keep him because the Giants don't want to be one of the top payrolls in the league, at least not right now. Because they lost a lot of money while they were still playing in Candlestick Park before Pac Bell Park was built and they are trying to get that money back.

And Bonds wants to stay in San Francisco. He was willing to negotiate a contract extension before the season started but the Giants' organization said "no, we'll wait till the end of the season" because they figured who knows Bonds could have a bad year or the Giants might not be in contention so they could trade him for some prospects and young players. Bonds' agent's response to the Giants, "Alright, but it'll cost you more later" and unfortunately for the Giants he's right.
