With a Stanley Cup under his belt in Detroit, Luc Robitaille is heading back to the town that gave him his start in the NHL.
(posted Jun. 11, 8:02PM EDT)
DETROIT -- Luc Robitaille started his NHL career with the Los Angeles Kings and it appears that's where the star left winger will end it.
Forum: On to better things in LA?
Sportsnet has learned Robitaille's agent Pat Brisson spoke to Kings general manager Dave Taylor late last week and is optimistic an agreement on a one year deal can be reached by the end of the week.
Yesterday, the 37-year-old future Hall of Famer met with Kings coach Andy Murray to discuss the role he might play in L.A next season.
Robitaille will enter his 18th year in the National Hockey League having played 1286 games, while scoring 631 goals and 688 assists. _________________ When the anesthesiologist leaned over me, he said, 'We named your kidney stone Kobe because it's not passing."- |

Sounds like a good way to end a career. _________________ -Wedge231 |

There has been nothing said of this on the red wings webpage. _________________ Detroit Red Wings / NHL.com / Sporting News

| Hope he does well. Last season must have been a huge disappointment. It's not that he didn't play well. The puck just didn't want to go into the net. |

| You are better off getting Wings info at the Detroit Free Press website. The team site only reports what they feel is important. |

| Yeah, but they (Wings) aren't going to be concerned about writing about who he is talking with after letting him go. |

True, but they would likely say he was let go. _________________ Detroit Red Wings / NHL.com / Sporting News
