But the tension is not between countries really, just groups of radicals and the US and its allies. The countries that support them aren't all that strong. In WWI, most of the European powers were all large empires. Do Syria, Iran, Afghanistan, etc have empires or large amounts of soliders? Probably not a lot compared to us, they just might use tactics that involve chemical/biological weapons or similar things. I don't think a draft would help that much.

| Thats true...but remember Iraq (or Iran one of the 2) has a lot of the former Soviet Union's techology back from the Cold War...the only country in the world that can say that. That means as-of-yet-uncurable Anthrax and other stuff... |
