Is this an american site ? Im not sure coz i landed here only after flipping through some google search pages . Im Indian ( native of india not the red one ) and if no one knows as yet , there is only one sport that appeals to an indian - the gentlemen's game of cricket . And no surprises here as well - im the worlds greatest cricket fan ! Just keen to know , any others ?? Im surprised there is no separate cricket chat site here . After all , its the second most viewed sport in the world !!

Hey, welcome to the site.

I will have to be honest and admit that we mostly discuss American sports, but some of our discussion does hit on sports in other countries as well.

I will further admit that you will probably be hard pressed to find anyone to talk about cricket here right now.

Sorry. But I hope you stick around. Is Cricket the only sport that you like?

I've looked around at websites to try to learn cricket before but I just dont get it. It seems a lot like American baseball just with lots of changes. Would be interesting to try sometime.

Welcome to the forums!

Hi Patrick ! Hi Nick !

Thanx for welcoming me into this forum ! But im hard pressed to add that my stay will be shorlived since there isnt any other sport that id like to discuss apart from cricket . I keep track of soccer updates but its only the world cups that give me the thrills. Similarly sports like tennis & Formula 1 . Im sorry but i dont know a lot about american sports like baseball etc. Looks like an interesting sport ! Can anyone direct me to a site that explains baseball to a beginner ? Id highly appreciate it ...and maybe later i can even join u all in the baseball forums .

Nick - i know of a site that explains cricket to Americans . Here is the link .

http://www.cricket.org/link_to_database/ABOUT_CRICKET/EXPLANATION/CRICKET_EXPLAINED_AMERICAN.html

Hope u learn something out of it . Its a great sport . Best in the world for me !!

Cheers !

Auto Racing, Soccer and Cricket do not have forums here yet, sorry. Maybe in the future. Any discussion on them goes into this (General/Other Sports) forum.

I hope that this link will help you:

I, unfortunately, do not understand cricket at all either. Maybe I should check out that link that you posted
