Hey

I watched the first 6 innings of the All-Star game and it was one of the best ones I have ever watched.

Lasordas Fall. Ripken's Homer. Ripken and Gwynn ceremony. Jeter cranked one to deep Center. The Rocket blanked them. It was great, except for one thing. They should have let Tony Gwynn play. At least I think so.

I don't really enjoy all-star games that much but I liked this one more than others I've watched.

I think the best part was Ripken hitting a homer in his first at bat.

The biggest reason I watched was because of Ripken and Gwynn. What careers those to have had!! They will be missed.

I was at a BBQ and I missed the whole thing. Sounded like it was a good game though.

It was the best All-Star Game I've ever seen. Cal hitting a homer off the first pitch he got, and at his final All Star Game, was just pure baseball theatre, and no other sport could have produced such an emotional moment, though Piazza crushing Clemens clear out of the ballpark would have been even better. I agree Tony Gwynn should certainly have been allowed an 'at bat'

I know Guerrero is sometimes known as 'Vlad the Impaler' but who would have thought he'd end up nearly 'impaling' Tommy Lasorda with a flying bat!

I'm hoping to get to a few games at Safeco next summer when I visit my sister in Vancouver, Canada...it looks quite a place.

Piazza couldn't crush me clear out of the ball park.

You're kidding right? I don't want to dig up all this stuff again, but I thought it was the fact that Mike had previously 'homered' into the bleachers three times off Clemens, that made him throw various objects (twice) at him in the first place? I mean let's not forget who the aggressor was in all that BS last year.

Well, a baseball being thrown at a player happens and the bat was just a moment of intensity. Everyone homers off of someone eventually, so no... that is not the reason Scooby.

I don't like Clemens. People like that give baseball a bad name.

I think you guys are more over Clemens because he is a Yankee more than anything else.

John Rocker, Darryl Strawberry - these guys give baseball a bad name. Not people that do things in the intensity of the game.
