|
|
This year was my 1st year playing fantasy baseball...I look back now and realize: my draft sucked! But my team is doing pretty good now...
1. Alfonso Soriano - didn't live up to the expectations and was shipped off in a big deal: Him + Glaus (2 days before injury) for Blalock, JD Drew and Teixtera
2. Maglio Ordonez - was playing great, but he's been on my DL for over a month now
3. Jeff Bagwell - Started off great too, but his recent slump earned him a seat on my bench to make way for the on-fire Teixtera
4. Jeff Kent - Before the season started I traded Kent and Jose Valentin for Tejada...Tejada hasn't had the MVP caliber season I expected, but it has worked out so far
5. Carlos Lee - I made the pick on nothing but bias...then he sucked, I dropped him added Jermaine Dye, and then Lee goes on a 30 game hit streak...geez
6. Hideo Nomo - I don't even want to remember the 7.50 ERA or something
7. Jason Varitek - average, I dropped him and got Martinez from the Indians
8. Troy Glaus - went in the Soriano deal 2 days before he got injured
9. Randy Winn - I could have sworn he was good
10. Mark Redman - still one of the best pitchers on my crappy staff
11. Jose Valentin - see Jeff Kent
12. Dontrelle Willis - I thought he was one of the best steals of the draft at round 12
13. Jason Isringhausen - He and Danny Kolb give me lots of saves
14. Russ Ortiz - pitched fairly well this season
The rest suck except (17. Kaz Ishii), I dropped them all probably so I don't think we really need to go to 22 here... |

Glaus? Glaus is injured...but before then, he singlehandedly defeated the 1st place team in my league by hitting 4 homers in a week...when he comes back he'd be a good UTL man...I'm not considering him as big of a bust as Nomo... |
