Regarding the calls that Patrick brought up, and considering the close call at home that won the game for the AL; did you guys know that there is no rule that states that a tie goes to the runner? Nope. The rule doesn't exist. I read that in Tim Kurkijian's book.

So, that call could have gone either way, as well.

I still don't think the game should count for home field advantage for the World Series, though.

how does that work?......is it whoever wins the world series, lets say a NL team wins it this year........then next year the all-star game is played at a NL teams stadium?

The Winner of the All Star game gets home field advantage in the World Series of the current year. The location of the All Star game is just randomly picked it has nothing to do with the World Series.

to be honest i dont like that at all.......i think the team with the better record should have home field advantage, but thats just me

I wished it would have. That way, they would have to do something with that goofy rule.

Ya the game was pretty good, kinda long but good..although the game's prize being home field in the WS, needs to be changed..cuz the AL has been dominating the past 12 years, so the rule shood be changed

The game was good and i liked that the last All-Star game in Yankee Stadium was a classic. But i dont like that the winner gets home field advantage in Playoffs. It should be based off of records
