WOW the newest standings are out there and a lot of changes. So much so that 3 of the top 5 are from NON bcs conferences. This is why something like my idea would work. Explanation is in the first post of this thread.
Based on my explaination in the first post here is how I would have it
* = concference winner or leader
1 USC* vs 16 N. Texas*
2 Oklahoma* vs 15 Bowling green*
3 Auburn* vs 14 West Virgina* - Boston College wins out they go here.
4 California vs 13 Virgina Tech*
5 Texas vs 12 Miami - wow what a match-up
6 Utah* vs 11 Georgia
7 Michigan* vs 10 Louisville*
8 Flordia st vs 9 Boise St.* _________________ Chris

the final standings are out there. Because of all the team going undefeated (5 I believe). This is why something like my idea would work. Explanation is in the first post of this thread.

| A playoff will never happen. Money talks. Plus the teams would have to play too many games, no program wants that. Too much risk of injury. The players wouldn't really want to play either, because a lot of these guys want to go to the NFL, and they don't want to risk getting hurt playing extra games in college which could amount to nothing to them. |
They would only play like 2 extra games. If they won the championship. CTFWEST has a good idea of how to work it. Ask Utah or Boise State if a playoff is a bad idea. Plus most players in college end up not in the NFL, so a national championship they will remember forever. |
